Montgomery Grove

We went hiking this weekend at Montgomery Grove with friends, as well as visiting the wonderful Orr Hot Springs. These redwoods are some of the tallest trees in the world and it is truly magical to spend time in this grove, surrounded by these ancient giants. Our friend Kat spent some quality time gazing up at the trees, totally in awe of their beauty and I got a few photos of her relaxing in the dappled sunlight. Sam + I love being in nature and find that time outside really grounds us and brings our focus back to the things that are really important in life. What a lovely and relaxing weekend!

Birthday Cakes + Lemon Picking

  Our friend Stef invited us to her birthday celebration last weekend in San Rafael. Her family lives on a beautiful piece of property, covered in old oak trees and also a variety fruit trees. We spent the afternoon picking gigantic lemons and eating the most delicious, homemade cakes, made by our dear friend Sunisa. One was chocolate and the other was this incredible meringue dessert called pavlova, which is filled with fresh whipped cream and fruit. Sunisa learned to make it when she lived in Australia with her soon-to-be husband Nat -- it was so yummy and filled with so much love! We have such beautiful friends and always leave these sort of gatherings totally blissed-out, sun-kissed and feeling oh-so lucky to be surrounded by a great group of kindred spirits. A Weekend at Dillon Beach

   We spent a lovely day at Dillon Beach a few weekends ago, to celebrate our dear friend Cailey's birthday. There were long beach walks, involving jellyfish rescue missions and kelp jump roping, and then several hours of live music back at the beach house. We feel so lucky to have such a wonderful group of friends and cherish these relaxing mini-vacations along the beautiful California coast!

How cute are these two?! We had a super fun time running around Clarion Alley with these two love birds, Karin and Craig. A perfect match! We are so excited to take their wedding photos next month. Congrats you two!
