Photographs from a Walk in the Mission, San Francisco

Ariel and I took a walk in the Mission, and a few images caught my eye, and I thought I'd share them even though they relate to nothing in particular.  Above is a photograph of a banana plant blooming in December, with odd icicles clinging to the petals.  Below, a man works on (what I assume to be) a telephone line junction box. His jacket nicely matches the blue mass of jumbled wires which remind me of a cerebral cortex.  Apparently the most important thing to remember when working on such electronics is to "Bring Your Own Chips."

San Francisco Boudoir Photography in Glen Canyon

Bowerbird Photography did two San Francisco boudoir photography sessions a few weeks ago -- which were given as some very special Christmas gifts. Instead of taking these photos inside, we opted for a wild, outdoor spot, which provided a natural and beautiful backdrop to these images. Boudoir photos are a great gift idea, which the receiver will definitely enjoy!

Gulls by the Bay, San Francisco Photographers - Bowerbird Photography

  Walking the plank.

This is the second part, in a three-part photography series, devoted to the birds of the bay that Sam took while in the Presidio last Saturday.  These, we believe, are Western Gulls, (larus occidentalis) if we are mistaken, please comment.

Those feathers under the wing look so soft!

I love the focus on the landing gear here; it is an unusual angle to take of a bird.

Bowerbird Photography Featured on Offbeat Mama, Bay Area Family Portrait

Bowerbird Photography got featured by Offbeat Mama giving the nod to us as the "uber-talented Bowerbird Photography."  Yikes, we're blushing.  Partial screenshot above.  Okay, go to Offbeat Mama and enjoy the photos - this mom and son duo are super cute!!!  This San Francisco portrait session took place in the colorful Clarion Alley in the Mission District.

San Francisco Family Photographer -- Photos at Glen Canyon

Yesterday we had a really fun photo shoot at Glen Canyon, with two adorable cuties. They loved climbing around on the rocks and even checked out some of the wild flowers that were blooming, even though it's December.

The sunlight this time of year is wonderful and gives all the photos a warm glow, since the sun is so far down in the sky. As San Francisco family photographers, we love this light and it was also really pleasant out and we were able to capture some playful and sweet photos of this family, while they ran around in Glen Canyon.

Doesn't this just look like a little forest fairy? So adorable!

San Francisco Family Photographer -- Photos at Crissy Field

This was our second shoot with James and Rebecca -- a wonderful couple -- and this time we got to meet John, James' dad. We had the most amazing weather at Crissy Field this past weekend! It really could have been a summer afternoon.

Crissy Field has great vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge and also interesting old architecture to climb around on ... which makes for fun spots to take pictures in front of.

Father and daughter-in-law -- so cute!

The classic Golden Gate "cheese" shot -- how sweet are these two together?! Love it! They're like a mini GG bridge :)
